First of all, you need to learn various parts of guitar. Starting from to bottom, you have a headstock (the part attached to the guitar’s neck. It also has tuners, used for adjusting the pitch of a string), the “nut” (a small piece of material in the area where headstock meets the neck) and the neck itself. This is one of the most important parts of any guitar and you should study it carefully. Finally, there are the body and the bridge. The guitar’s body varies greatly, depending on the type of your guitar: acoustic, electric, bass, etc. Most acoustic have a hollow body and a “sound hole”. Electric guitars have “pick-ups” instead.
